Manchester United boss Ole Solskjaer says this summer’s Euros are too soon for Mason Greenwood
Greenwood, 18 has made an explosive start to his career for Manchester United, plundering nine goals in 26 appearances this season.
With England skipper Harry Kane recovering from surgery on a torn hamstring and potentially missing the Euros, Gareth Southgate could be forced to include a new striker in his squad.
But the prospect of Greenwood filling the void has been dismissed by Solskjaer.
“I think Mason will have a top and long career,” said Solskjaer. “Let the boy settle in now first, before we talk about England and the Euros.
“His focus has to be on playing more for us and improving, and when he plays more for us, that’ll happen by itself.
“He’s just been picked for the England Under-21s so he’s focusing on his football.”
